What is in the park
What can I see and do at the park?
Seven attractions across twenty-seven acres of coastal rainforest: the Suspension Bridge, Treetops Adventure, Cliffwalk, the Story Centre, Kia'palano, the Living Forest exhibit, and Raptor's Ridge in season. There are also two restaurants and the Trading Post shop.
Are seasonal events running during my visit?
The park's calendar shifts through the year — Canyon Kick-Off in summer, Canyon Frights in October, Canyon Lights from late November, and Love Lights in February. Whichever event is running on the day is woven into the park experience.
Planning your visit
How long does a visit take?
Most guests spend two to three hours in the park — long enough to cross the bridge, walk the trails and pause for photos. The bridge itself takes 5–15 minutes to cross.
When is the best time to come?
Early mornings and the last two hours of the day are quietest. We're open every day except 25 December.
Are you open in the rain?
Yes — and the canyon is more atmospheric in rain. The park stays open in any weather; the trails are paved or boardwalked. Bring a light raincoat.
Are guided tours available?
Yes — park interpreters lead complimentary History, Culture & Nature Talks throughout the day. Schedule posted at the entrance and the Story Centre.
Can I bring my own food?
Small snacks and water are welcome. Full picnic spreads are best enjoyed off-site — there are good viewpoints just up Capilano Road.
Is there free WiFi?
Yes, throughout the park.
Is luggage storage available?
Yes — free luggage storage at the main entrance, year-round.
When is Canyon Lights running?
Canyon Lights runs from 20 November through 3 January. Two million bulbs are installed across the bridge, treetops, and canyon walls — the largest winter installation on the North Shore.
Accessibility & mobility
What's the terrain like?
The Suspension Bridge sways and has small steps at each end. Treetops Adventure includes stairs and moving bridges. Cliffwalk has steps but does not sway. The Living Forest has stepped boardwalks with some uneven gravel sections. The Story Centre and Kia'palano are level.
Is the park wheelchair accessible?
The Suspension Bridge, Treetops Adventure and Cliffwalk are not wheelchair accessible. Guests using wheelchairs and mobility aids enter complimentary and can enjoy the Story Centre, Kia'palano, the shops and restaurants.
Strollers and infants?
Strollers are not permitted on the attractions but designated stroller parking is available at the entrance to each. Infants must be carried below railing level or in an approved child carrier.
Getting here
Is there a free shuttle?
Yes — there is a complimentary park shuttle from downtown Vancouver. Pick-ups at Canada Place, Hyatt Regency, and Blue Horizon Hotel. See full schedule.
How long is the shuttle ride?
From Canada Place, around 20–25 minutes depending on bridge traffic.
What about parking?
On-site meter parking is available for a few hours at a time (credit cards only at the meters). Free overflow parking with shuttle service operates during peak summer days.
