The park sits on the western bank of the Capilano River, a few minutes north of Marine Drive. The entrance is well signed from Capilano Road; you cannot miss the totems out front.

Free shuttle

From Canada Place, every twenty minutes.

A complimentary park shuttle from downtown — the simplest way to skip parking, traffic, and the bridge bottleneck.

Canada Place

On Canada Place Way, between the convention centres. Departs every 15–20 minutes, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.

Hyatt Regency Vancouver

Melville Street entrance. 8:35 am – 3:55 pm.

Blue Horizon Hotel

Robson Street, front entrance. 8:40 am – 12:25 pm.

Return shuttles run from the park entrance approximately every twenty minutes, 10:30 am – 7:30 pm.

By car

Fifteen minutes from downtown.

Head west on Georgia Street, up the Stanley Park causeway, and over the Lions Gate Bridge. Take the North Vancouver exit to Marine Drive. Turn left, then up Capilano Road for 1.6 km.

On-site parking

Metered parking is available on site (credit cards only at the meters). PayByPhone also works — location code 4536.

Overflow parking

Free overflow at Handsworth School and the Connaught Building underground lot during peak summer days, with a complimentary park-bound shuttle.

Driving from downtown

  1. Head west on Georgia Street.
  2. Take the Stanley Park causeway over the Lions Gate Bridge.
  3. Take the North Vancouver exit onto Marine Drive.
  4. Turn left and follow Capilano Road uphill for 1.6 km.
  5. The park entrance is on your right.
By transit

SeaBus and a short bus uphill.

TransLink connects every part of Metro Vancouver to the North Shore. The crossing is part of the trip — the SeaBus passes Stanley Park and the harbour every fifteen minutes.

From downtown via SeaBus

SeaBus to Lonsdale Quay, then bus 236 from the bus loop. Drop-off is at the park entrance. Roughly 35 minutes door to door.

From Phibbs Exchange

Bus 232, exit at Edgemont Boulevard and Capilano Road, walk a few minutes uphill to the entrance.

C

From SkyTrain (downtown)

Bus 246 from Granville or Burrard SkyTrain stations. Exit at Ridgewood Drive and Norcross Way, walk north on Capilano Road.
